The awards honor outstanding women in the Central New York area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery year, we celebrate March as Women\u2019s History Month, which makes it the perfect time to honor and recognize the women who do so much for our communities,\u201d Stirpe said.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s a privilege to be able to host these awards and show our thanks to these women who break down barriers and inspire us every day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The honorees for the Women of Distinction awards are chosen based on their inspirational contributions in a variety of chosen fields. Last year\u2019s Women of Distinction Award winners included: Jodi Anne DeAugustine in the category of volunteerism, Mary L. Oot in the category of health care, Toni\u2019Lyn Brauchle in the category of community\/civic affairs and Maureen Patterson in the category of education.<\/p>\n<p>Stirpe encourages residents of Cicero, Fabius, Manlius, Pompey and Tully to nominate women who go above and beyond to strengthen our communities and help local families. Nominations can be submitted online at <a href=\"http:\/\/nyassembly.gov\/Stirpe\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/nyassembly.gov\/Stirpe&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1582728147001000&amp;usg=AFQjCNG1pSTxzNS9Jz8_0l6EL_JptqndyQ\">nyassembly.gov\/Stirpe<\/a>until March 6. The awards ceremony will be held on March 21 at 11 a.m. at the Fayetteville Village Hall Courtroom, 425 E.
